Steam Deck Portable PC Gaming Console: Due to worldwide supply chain challenges and material shortages, Valve stated on Wednesday that the Steam Deck portable PC gaming system will be delayed until February 2022. Components are not arriving on schedule to the company’s production facilities. The Steam Deck was supposed to be released in December.
The console will be available in three versions: a 64GB model with a carrying case for $399; a 256GB model with faster storage, a carrying case, and an exclusive Steam Community profile bundle for $529; and a 512GB model with the fastest storage of the three versions, anti-glare etched glass, and an exclusive carrying case for $599.
Players may use Steam Deck to access their Steam library.
Two analog sticks, face buttons, grip and shoulder buttons, a 7-inch touchscreen, two trackpads, and gyro control will all be included in the console. WiFi and Bluetooth connection, dual speakers, a 40 watt-hour battery, and a USB-C connector will all be included in the Steam Deck.
An official dock will be offered separately, allowing users to connect the console to other devices. According to the official website for the console, a powered USB-C hub will also operate.

Can Steam Deck be used as a PC?
The Steam Deck is a portable computer in and of itself. It runs on Valve’s SteamOS, which is based on Linux, so if you’re already familiar with that operating system, you can use it as a PC right away. If you’re not familiar with Linux, Valve claims that Windows may be installed instead.
Can you play any game on Steam Deck?
Although the Steam Deck’s hardware is capable of running every Steam game, the console’s software may not allow every game to work on the device at launch. However, Proton is known to be compatible with at least 16,000 Steam titles, and updates may make more games compatible as well.
