Tiger Woods has pulled out of the PGA Championship following the third round. Tiger had been struggling all weekend but has managed to make the cut despite being in evident pain.
Tiger shot a 79 today to improve to +12 for the week, and he was clearly in excruciating pain. In a horrible vehicle accident just over a year ago, the man nearly lost his leg, yet he battled through the pain to make the cut in both majors this year.
Unfortunately, Tiger’s appearance on the course this year may be his last, as he plainly has to take some time off to thoroughly rehab his knee and get back to full health.
On a side note, shout out to this guy who was standing in a swarm of people with their phones out, just watching Tiger with a cold drink in his hand during yesterday’s round. Greetings, dear friend.
