TEDxGIJ Features Ideas On ‘Ghana, Africa and Beyond’

All over the world, conversations about communities are deliberated on to find sustainable solutions. Ideas are the core pivot sparking relevant conversation. Ghana is not left out of the ideas worth spreading. The Ghana Institute of Journalism students would be hosting TEDxGIJ 2021 led by Aretha Forson (Lead Curator).

TEDx is an independently organized event geared towards sparking relevant conversations on thought-provoking subjects in society. Ghana has seen a number of successful TEDx events in the past years; TEDxUniversityOfGhana, TEDx Osu, TEDxKNUST, TEDxEastLegon, TEDxAhodwo,

TEDx Tudu, TEDx Accra amongst others. TEDx events spark conversations in communities which cuts across various industries of science and technology, societal change, health, communication, tourism, climate change, artificial intelligence, arts and entertainment among others.

This event brings together a room of like-minded speakers and audience to experience an interactive flow of ideas from topics guided by the theme. TEDxGIJ with the theme;Ghana, Africa & Beyond is an event put together to amplify the voices of some the innovators and drivers of the African community. Expected speakers are in the field of activism, entrepreneurship and diverse areas that elevate the trajectory of the African

The speakers at this event include; Oliver Baker; Convenor of #FixTheCountry Movement,
Henry Derben; a young and dynamic Business Development Manager at PICHA, Elizabeth Sasu;
CEO of GH Aviation and a Tourism Advocate, Nadia Takyiwaa Mensah; an Incredible Author
and Bright Tenbil; A Digital Marketing Strategist. In a brief interview with the Co-Curator; Noel Nii Nortei Narku. Our team has gone through thick and thin to bring this event amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
