Investigators verified Ali Ghorbani was found with numerous gunshot wounds inside Raoabe Restaurant, situated on Upper Ottawa Street, at roughly 2:30 a.m., according to a press release published Monday.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment, but he died later.
Two male suspects dressed in black clothing were seen fleeing the pub after the shooting, according to police, but no arrests have been made.
“A huge number of patrons were also inside the pub at the time of the incident, and Hamilton Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the event to come forward,” police said in a statement released over the weekend.
