NFP councillor candidate gunned down in Nongoma, KZN

Dumisani Qwabe, a National Freedom Party NFP councilor candidate, was shot and killed in Nongoma, KZN, on Tuesday morning.

Canaan Mdletshe, the NFP’s secretary-general, stated Qwabe was the party’s Ward 17 candidate in Nongoma.
He said Qwabe was discovered in his smoldering automobile in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The car, he added, contained bullet holes and blood traces, according to law enforcement officials. He was thought to have been shot before being put in a car that was then set on fire.”This is a concerning issue because it occurs just five days before the elections.

“We have previously requested for the deployment of soldiers and the intensification of SAPS intelligence in some KZN areas, and we reiterate that call.”

“At the moment, our candidates in Nongoma are terrified. “They are afraid to continue with campaigns,” Mdletshe explained.
