Master KG, also known as Kgaogelo Moagi on stage, is a South African artist and record producer signed to Open Mic Productions. On the 31st of January 1996, he was born in Calais Village-Tzaneen, Limpopo.

He is unquestionably one of South Africa’s best house music performers and producers. He is credited with the creation of the “Bolobedu” dance.

He began dabbling with beats at the age of 13 and was very interested about pursuing a career in music. At such a young age, Master KG’s persistent devotion and passion for music has catapulted him to unprecedented heights.

When Master KG met DJ Maebela, he began his musical career, and the two liked working with music software and perfecting their craft together.

Following his intensive preparation for the music industry, he did, however, release his debut song, “Situation,” in 2016.

After signing a recording contract with Open Mic Production, he released his first official album, Skeleton Move, on September 21, 2018, which includes his chart-topping song “Skeleton Move” with Zanda Zakuza.

The CD features Florah Ritshuri, Makhadzi, Team Mosha, and a variety of other musicians.The album was also highly acclaimed, winning the AFRIMMA Award for Best Artist/Group in the African Electro category.

He rose to international prominence with his hit single “Jerusalema” with Nomcebo Zikode, which was included on his second studio album “Jerusalem” in 2020. The song launched his career to new heights, going multi-platinum and breaking into new African and worldwide markets.

In mid-2020, “Jerusalema” became viral online, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 around the world and garnering him MTV Europe Music Awards, NJR Music Awards in France, Feather Awards, and African Muzik Magazine Awards.

Following his enormous success, he obtained a record deal with Elektra France. On May 26, 2021, he worked with David Guetta and Akon on the song “Shine Your Light.”

Master KG is a living example of true musical love and devotion, and as such, he continues to serve as a role model and inspiration to many.
