After a disagreement with her husband, a Kenyan woman strangles her two children to death. Diana Nasimiyu Kibisi was detained in Jerusalem-Waithaka, Dagorreti sub-county, Nairobi, for reportedly strangling her two children to death.
According to Dagoretti sub-county Commander Francis Wahome, the suspect killed the children on July 25 and then proceeded to the Waithaka Police Station to surrender.
Sydney Miheso, 4, and Miracle Miheso, 2, were found dead on the sofa of her home, she said authorities. Officers on the incident leapt into action and went to the crime scene, where the bodies of the two youngsters were discovered.
Diana was then apprehended and is currently being held in police custody pending further investigation and arraignment.
Because the incident occurred at night, police claimed they were unable to process her for a court appearance on Monday. As a result, basic investigations had not been completed.
On Tuesday, July 27, she will appear in court, where investigators will ask for extra time to complete their investigations.
Meanwhile, the two children’s bodies were brought to the City Mortuary for an autopsy.
Although preliminary investigations have yet to determine why the lady killed her two children, it is believed that she did so following a marital dispute with her husband.
According to sources close to the family, Diana’s mother-in-law flew from Lugari to Nairobi to assist her and her husband Alex Miheso in resolving their marital issues.
However, it is said that things did not proceed as planned, with fresh issues arising as a result.
Diana and Alex afterwards saw off Diana’s mother-in-law, after which Diana returned home and strangled the two children to death. Alex admitted that their marriage had been having some difficulties, but that he had not expected things to come out the way they did, with his wife murdering their children.
“She called me in the evening and said she had killed the children and that I should come home.” He said that she had “always threatened to kill our children” and “always sent me messages threatening to kill the children.”
