CHELSEA BOSS THOMAS TUCHEL GIVEN ‘SPECIAL PERMISSION’ TO SIGN PLAYERS HE LIKES

After his buyout was officially sealed by the Government, the Premier League, and Europe, new owner Todd Boehly is ready to hand Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel £200 million to spend this summer, as 101 previously reported.

Dean Jones has now revealed more insight into Chelsea’s transfer plans, reporting that Tuchel has been given special authority this summer to go and sign the players he wants.

Furthermore, Jones claims that Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel admires PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe:

Dean Jones: “Tuchel really likes Kimpembe and he’s made it clear to the recruiters that’s the case. And Tuchel is getting special permission this summer to go and get the players he likes, so probably one to watch out for at this moment in time just in case – an interesting one.”

Kimpembe, who is now 26, is a product of PSG’s development system and has only ever played for the French champions.

Kimpembe has made 226 appearances for PSG, playing a major role in the club’s several domestic titles.

He has a contract with the Parc des Princes that runs until 2024.

The fee Chelsea would have to spend to sign the French international this summer is unknown.
