After a Suicide Attempt, a KNUST student was discovered dead in his room.

A Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) level 400 student is said to have committed suicide in Adoato, near Bantama in the Ashanti Region.

Residents, friends, and family members have been left in a state of shock and grieving about what may have prompted the young kid to perform such a heinous deed.

Frederick Asamoah Frimpong, the deceased, was purportedly discovered hanging from a ceiling fan in his Adoato apartment.

According to an uncle of the dead, Kofi Abrefa Buziah, who broke the news of the tragic tragedy in an interview with Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo, the deceased returned home last week due to the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) strike. KNUST

According to him, the deceased was discovered dead in his room when his mother went to give him information.

“We knocked on his door for a long time but he didn’t answer. We tried calling him but he didn’t answer, so we hired a carpenter to break down his door and found him hanging,” he explained.

The police officers who arrived on the scene took the deceased body to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Morgue for an autopsy.
